Hey, I’m Doug Ace, the brick-obsessed human behind Give Me a Brick. Like a lot of you, I grew up with LEGO® bricks all over the floor, building little worlds until my knees hurt from sitting too long. Then life happened, I got busy (you know, all that “being an adult” stuff), and the bricks ended up in storage.

Fast forward to 2020. Everything slowed down, and I was stuck at home looking for… something. I dug out this old tote of bricks, dumped them onto the floor, and started clicking pieces together. That sound, the real click when two bricks snap tight, it took me right back to my childhood. Instant joy.

At first, I was just killing time, but it turned into more than that. Building again was relaxing, creative, and honestly, it just made me happy. I realized you don’t have to be a kid to need a reason to play.

Now I get to help other people find that same feeling; whether it’s a kid having the best birthday of their life, an adult getting back into building, or someone who just needs a little break from the real world. So yeah… I might have the best job in the world!
